At NewMe Health Clinic, we have always emphasized that obesity is a complex condition — and that surgery is not the end of the journey, but rather the beginning of a new one. In line with this holistic approach, we are delighted to announce that we now offer ongoing psychological support for our bariatric patients after surgery.
Through our collaboration with ACT On It Therapies, based in Canada and the UK, our patients will now have access to specialized follow-up sessions delivered by Nicola Blair, a Senior Clinical Psychological Therapist and CEO of ACT On It Therapies.
With over 25 years of experience, Nicola is a recognized specialist in eating disorders, body dysmorphia, mental health disorders, and neurodevelopmental diagnostic assessment (NDD). She has worked extensively with some of the world’s largest healthcare providers, including NHS England, where she served as a Clinical Specialist Psychological Therapist and NHS Improvement Transformation Consultant.
Her professional background spans child (CAMHS) and adult (CMHT) mental health services across numerous NHS Trusts in the UK and internationally. In addition, her expertise in healthcare quality assurance and service delivery improvement ensures that our patients receive care aligned with the highest global standards.
With this partnership, we reaffirm our commitment:
➡️ To support our patients emotionally and mentally, not just medically.
➡️ To ensure they are never alone after bariatric surgery.
At NewMe, we continue to evolve — meeting the diverse needs of those in our care with innovation, compassion, and expertise.
